Filtration role
Designed primarily to reduce chlorine-related taste and odour while providing approximately 5 micron particulate filtration. Activated carbon can also adsorb selected organic compounds, with performance depending on the compound, water chemistry, flow and contact time.
Compatibility
- Size: 20" x 4.5"
- Micron rating: 5 micron
- For compatible whole-house housings using a carbon-block stage.
Replacement guidance
Replace according to the system service schedule, typically around 12–18 months depending on chlorine loading, water quality and usage.
This cartridge is not a water softener and should not be treated as a validated microbiological purifier.
