Choose the correct filtration stage
Stage / sediment filtration – Aquarius Polyspun Sediment Filter
Use the 10" x 4.5" polyspun cartridge where your system specifies a sediment prefilter. It captures suspended particles such as dirt, sand, rust, silt and clay and is commonly the first filtration stage.
Carbon filtration – Aquarius Carbon Block Filter
Use the 10" x 4.5" carbon block where your system specifies an activated-carbon stage. Its primary role is chlorine-related taste and odour reduction, with performance depending on water chemistry, flow and contact time.
Advanced treatment – Aquarius Aragon Replacement Filter
Choose the 10" x 4.5" Aragon cartridge only where your existing system specifies Aragon. This composite medium combines mechanical filtration, adsorption, ion exchange and electrokinetic interaction.
Check the cartridge size before ordering
10" x 4.5" is not the same as 10" x 2.5". These larger-diameter cartridges are intended for compatible whole-house housings and should not be confused with the slimmer 10" x 2.5" cartridges used in many kitchen systems.
Typical replacement timing varies with the cartridge, household usage and incoming water quality. Sediment loading, reduced flow, chlorine breakthrough and the system service schedule can all indicate that replacement is required.
